Zac Pope

Zac was born in Auburn Alabama in 1978, but grew up in Lilburn Georgia. 

He is an Eagle Scout... still actively involved with Boy Scouts of America.

He currently lives in Tucker, Georgia and is Married

Zac is employed with Georgia MLS as a Senior Data Administrator.  He oversee Data Compliance, Public Record, and Data Normalization operations. They are actively developing a next generation Listing Database in addition to independent tools designed with (and for) Appraisers.

Rod Carnes

GAAPA's speaker Rod Carnes, a deputy from the Department of Banking & Finance (DBF),spoke about fraud investigations. 

Rod Carnes was appointed the Deputy Commissioner for the Non-Depository Financial Institutions Division of the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance in November 2005. 

Rod was hired as the first full-time Mortgage Examiner in 1998 and later promoted to Chief Investigator for the Mortgage Division, before becoming the Supervisory Manager for Licensing in April 2004.

Prior to working for the Department, Rod worked for the Department of Human Resources and in the private sector in management for seven years.  He also worked as a Deputy Sheriff while attending college.  Rod is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, with a concentration in accounting.  He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

GAAPA General Membership Meeting

We were excited to have Jeff Ledford to speak at our GAAPA meeting. 

Jeff Ledford is Real Estate Commissioner for the state of Georgia.  In that position he serves as the Executive Officer for the Georgia Real Estate Commission and the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board.  His administrative responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the state agency responsible for implementing the license law regulating Georgia's over 100,000 real estate brokers and salespersons and the law regulating Georgia's 7,000 real estate appraisers.

 


The policy for guests/visitors has been amended to the following:

Attend a general membership meeting at no charge 2 day pre-registration required

Pre-register

First meeting free for any guest; subsequent meetings as a guest $20.      


Attend a training seminar for a $10 fee 10 day pre-registration required

Training

First training seminar $10 for any non-member; subsequent non-member training $25 and up.
